The Energy Insitiute to Publish Proceedings from World Petroleum
Congress
The Energy Institute (EI) has been retained as publisher of the
World Petroleum Congress Proceedings. The EI published the 16th WPC
Proceedings in 2000, and the complete Proceedings from
the 17th and 18th WPC.
The EI is an independent scientific body committed to the advancement
of technical knowledge relating to the international petroleum industry.
It provides a significant range of technical publications, including
safety codes, industry standards, and conference proceedings. These
publications represent widely accepted good industry practice and science,
and are an essential source of reference for managers, contractors,
employees, lawyers, librarians, consultants and all those working for
and with the industry.
Dr Pierce Riemer, Director General of World Petroleum Congresses, said, “We
are delighted to have retained the services of the EI
as publishers of the WPC Proceedings. They have an international
reputation as publishers of technical standards and information for
the petroleum industry, making them the ideal partner for WPC.”
The World Petroleum Congress Proceedings provides a record
of the event in its entirety, including the opening and closing ceremonies,
the plenary papers, review and forecast papers, technical forum papers,
posters and interactive technology presentations.
