Engaging Energy Poverty
Industry Responses to Climate Change
With global population projected to grow to nearly ten billion by 2050, energy demand continues to rise. All energy sources will be needed to provide affordable, reliable and modern energy services for everyone. The oil and gas sector is at the forefront of creating sustainable energy solutions, reducing energy emissions and increasing energy efficiency.
Cooperation between all stakeholders is key to achieving a successful energy transition to a low-carbon future. The event looked at how the oil and gas industry is responding to these challenges and leading the way in sharing best practices, engaging local communities and raising standards across its operations in order to ensure smarter, safer and sustainable access to energy for all.
